Western Australian wholesale electricity market
We forecast WEM prices every five minutes.
For licensed retailers, we calculate the billing, check the invoices and verify the settlements. The dashboard is built from the market's own data - price forecasting, real-time tracking, outage and generation reporting and market analysis - with a monthly newsletter written by hand from the same data.

The newsletter
We write down what happened in the WEM last month - by hand, every month.
Every month we publish what actually happened in the WEM and why - where prices settled and what set them, generator outages and their price impact, demand and renewable output, capacity and market developments. Written from the same data feeds that drive our forecasting platform, not from press releases.
Summary
The month in brief: average peak, off-peak and flat prices against the same month last year, whether last month's forecast ran high or low, and, when a generator retirement is material, an estimate of its price impact.
Forecast performance
Every issue scores last month's own forecast against several reference prices - built strictly on a point-in-time basis, from what was known before the month began, before it moves on to the year ahead.
Annual energy price forecast
The headline deliverable: the full rolling 12-month price forecast, split weekday and weekend, month by month and half-hour by half-hour.
