Privacy Policy

Last updated: 25 August 2026

Eureka Electricity (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates this website and provides market analytics and advisory products to Wholesale Electricity Market (WEM) customers. This policy explains how we handle the personal information you give us, in line with the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

Information we collect

When you fill in an enquiry, contact or signup form on this site, we collect:

  • your name and business name
  • your email address, and phone number if you give it
  • your role, if you give it
  • what product or service you're interested in
  • any message you write to us

When you submit a form, we also record which page or product it was sent from, your browser's user agent, and a one-way cryptographic hash of your IP address - not the address itself - so we can apply basic spam and abuse protection. We also collect standard web server logs that are generated automatically when you visit the site - things like your browser type, the pages requested, and the date and time of the request. We don't use any of this to build a profile of you; it exists only to respond to enquiries, secure the site, and keep it free of spam.

How we collect it

Directly from you, when you submit a form on this website, our dashboard, or by emailing us. We don't buy or otherwise acquire personal information about you from anyone else.

Why we collect and use it

Solely to respond to your enquiry and provide the product or service you've asked about, and, if you sign up for dashboard access, to operate that account. We don't use it to build advertising profiles, and we don't run any third-party analytics or advertising trackers on this site (see Cookies and analytics below).

Disclosure

We don't sell your personal information, and we don't share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes. It is stored in our own systems, in order to respond to you and deliver what you've asked for. We use service providers to host our infrastructure and deliver email on our behalf; they process information strictly to operate those systems and have no independent right to use it.

Storage and security

We take reasonable steps to protect the personal information we hold from misuse, interference, loss, and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. We keep it only for as long as it's reasonably needed for the purposes above, or as required by law.

Cookies and analytics

This site sets no tracking or analytics cookies, and uses no third-party analytics, advertising or tracking scripts of any kind. We don't track you across sessions or across other sites.

Access, correction and deletion

You can ask us at any time to see what personal information we hold about you, to correct it, or to have it deleted. Email us at [email protected] and we'll action your request within a reasonable time. We may need to retain some information where we have a legal or accounting reason to keep it.

Complaints

If you think we've mishandled your personal information, email [email protected] and we'll look into it directly. If you're not satisfied with our response, you can raise it with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in what we collect or how we use it. The version published here is the one in force, dated above.
